Maple Rooted Lawn
Restoration of a lawn after taking down a large maple tree
This project was a lawn restoration after the homeowners had to take down a large maple tree from their front lawn.
Throughout the years the tree had grown so big the roots had raised up half of the lawn about six to eight inches heigher than the rest of the yard. This made for large, raised ridges along the sidewalk and driveway, making the lawn difficult to mow.
After the tree was taken down the stump grindings and remaining roots were still causing problems and safety concerns for the homeowners. They chose to scrape down the whole area, removing all remaining roots, in order to restore the original grade of the lawn.
